Our Windshield Reseal Process
Our seal restoration process removes failed urethane adhesive and applies fresh bonding materials to eliminate leaks and restore weather-tight integrity.
Inspection and Leak Check
We inspect the molding, trim, and glass position, then confirm the leak location. We also rule out common look-alike issues like a blocked cowl drain or sunroof drain when symptoms do not match the windshield perimeter.
Remove and Prep the Bonding Surface
We cut out old urethane where needed, strip failed sealant, clean the pinch weld, and prep the surface. If we find rust, we address corrosion so the new adhesive can bond securely.
Prime and Apply Fresh Urethane
We apply the correct primer or activator on glass and metal when required. We run a continuous bead of urethane adhesive with proper bead height and continuity.
Reset the Windshield and Secure the Fit
We reinstall and align the windshield, confirm spacing with setting blocks or spacers when needed, and reinstall molding or trim. We keep the work clean and controlled.
Cure Time and Water Test
We follow safe drive-away time guidelines and give clear instructions on when you can drive and when you can wash the car. We finish with a water test to confirm a leak-proof seal.
