Our Windshield Rebonding Process
Windshield rebonding is a structured auto glass repair service that rebuilds the bond from the frame up using the right equipment and approved materials.
Inspection and Fit Check
We inspect the windshield position, check for glass damage, and verify the problem is bond failure. We examine the pinch weld, molding, and adhesive bead for gaps, bubbles, or edge lift.
Safe Removal and Full Cut Out
We remove trim as needed, then cut out failed urethane with the correct tools. We protect the dashboard and paint while we work.
Surface Preparation
We clean, degrease, and prep the glass and pinch weld. We address contamination and light corrosion when present, since rust can cause repeat bond failure.
Primer and Urethane Application
We apply primer and activator when required by the adhesive system. We apply a consistent urethane adhesive bead designed for structural bonding and proper cure time.
Set, Align, and Secure
We reinstall the windshield, align it to the frame, and confirm even contact on setting blocks. We secure the glass while the adhesive cures.
Verification and Safe Drive-Away Time
We verify fit and bond line, then provide Safe Drive-Away Time guidance. If your vehicle has ADAS features and the windshield position changed, we will discuss calibration and recalibration options.
